A Conversational Pace – The Spiritual Journey of Keith Mitchhart

Never in a million years did I think I would completely reevaluate my relationship with running simply by being crammed into the back of a Kia in France in August of 2025. But the second I met Keith Mitchhart, I knew my life was going to change.
In this episode of Conversational Pace, Keith Mitchhart opens up about his transformative journey into the world of running; from his first half marathon to his experiences with ultra marathons and community involvement.
Keith shares his authentic and absolutely true POVs on the deeper meaning behind running, the importance of self-expression through gear, and the supportive relationships that have shaped his path, including his deep and personal involvement with Ainsley’s Angles.
The emphasis he places on the spiritual aspects of running, the joy of DIY races, and the significance of not taking the sport too seriously, while preparing for Saddles 100, he reflects on the personal growth and connections that running has brought into his life. Whenever shit gets tough, we’re reminded here that, we do this to ourselves. So you might as well keep going.

A Conversational Pace – Chasing our best selves. An exploratory chat with Alli Felsenthal.

“You never grow if you don’t do something new” – Alli Felsenthal (@runwithalli)
I’ve been giving this idea much thought recently. Life is a trip, man.
We get so set in our ways, comfortable with “how things are,” afraid to rock our personal boats in fear that we might have to experience something new that could ultimately be wrong.Sitting down with Alli, one thing became crystal almost immediately: she’s into running for all the right reasons.
“Every time Im out there chasing something, I’m inspired by the people I’m helping do the same things,” says Alli.
Life is about reciprocity, which is easy to forget as we enter into a more transactional future.
Chase your best self, and bring someone along with you.

A Conversational Pace – Respect for people who give a fuck. Feat. Malcolm Pascotti / Can’t Buy Cool Studios

“People that give a fuck, and people that try—we should be nicer to.” Malcolm Pascotti, Can’t Buy Cool Studios.
Can’t Buy Cool Studios is a Denver, Colorado-based brand with a simple and all-too-true philosophy: Most things are bullshit. The world has too many things. Many ideas come from places of haste and little foresight.
When chatting with Malcolm in this episode of A Conversational Pace, one thing became wildly evident off the bat, and woven throughout our convo: Passion.
Passion for creating something authentic.
Passion for long-lasting value-adds, versus cheap fixes.
Passion for remaining true to self.
Passion for a knowledge that the real win comes in the relationships you make and keep versus the dollars in the bank account.“To me, no matter what happens with the future of the brand, is 100% worth it, completely,” Malcolm dives in. “Even if it stopped right now and nothing ever came from this, those conversations are worth it.”
This. This right here is what “less lonely” is all about.

A Conversational Pace – Dipping your toes in speed with Track Class

“Just show up. Give yourself a chance. See if you can,” Lucie Beatrix says about Track Class, NYC’s way to unite solo runners to run hard and fast as a crew.
Leggggs sat down with Lucie and Dan Meinhardt to chat through the mission, the vision, and the nuances involved with Track Class, especially in today’s running climate.
Their passion for connection, for pushing people, for watching their “students” come to life on the track, and for shrugging off a North Star and focusing on yourself is truly felt throughout their answers here.
“This isn’t track with a capital T,” Dan states.
So, show up, see what you’re made of, and you just may surprise yourself with how far and fast you can go with the right instruction and connections.
This is Track Class for Leggggs.

A Conversational Pace – As simple or as complicated as you make it – feat. Jake Smith

“The more you run, the weirder you can often be.” – Jake Smith I don’t know if there’s an actual science behind this correlation, but I’ll go out on a limb and say, this is 10000% true and no one should ever question it.
On this installment of A Conversational Pace, Leggggs sat down with Jake Smith (@jake_the_runner_art on IG) to chat through his life around running, of course, but also how creativity manifests itself through movement, as well as how to be present in whatever moment you’re finding yourself. If you haven’t started following Jake on IG, you’re missing out.
From conceptualization and execution of footwear design, to insanely impressive illustrations of your favorite runners, Jake is a creative force that the running world is lucky to have.
And we are lucky he sat down with Leggggs at all. So, here you go.

“Know your why – That is the source of your joy.” – Lucy SchodellIf you’ve had the pleasure of meeting Lucy Schodell in real life, I am extremely jealous.

Enjoy.

A Conversational Pace – Betting on yourself; competition as a 3rd space with Devin Miller

“What keeps me going after a bad day [is knowing] there will be more runs, more workouts, more races—It’s not a bad life, it’s just a bad day.”
I was first introduced to Devin via IG about two weeks prior to this interview, and after a single cold outreach, he jumped at wanting to chat. To me, this is a testament to community, and being the change you want to see in this sport and world.
The convo with Dev went to areas we haven’t explored on Leggggs prior; from tarot cards and time travel to the need for 3rd spaces in today’s modern pornographic world. This sit-down left me feeling like anything is possible, and we’re all going to be okay whether or not this renaissance running bubble bursts.
“You don’t have to have it all figured out or fixed before you’re allowed to be happy; you’ll get there. Trust in yourself. Trust in the universe. ” – Devin Miller
This episode is about trust, and the journey to becoming a better version of you, whatever that looks like, knowing there are people rooting for you along the way.

Cache Only – There’s no wrong way to infiltrate running – Büite Outdoor

“There’s not just one way to trail run. You can do it your own way, and it still makes sense. “
Something is happening in Melbourne, Australia that it doesn’t seem like the running world is ready for.
Yeah, perhaps I’m building it up for dramatic effect, as is my nature as a reactive American, or….perhaps when you run into a brand like Büite Outdoor that is championing authentic connection between brand and human above all else, you realize what the f*ck is going on.
That was my takeaway in talking with Orlando from Büite (pronounced “beta” but also, pronounce it how you want. It’s the spirit that matters.)
They’ve only been around a few years, but with the passion and vision Orlando speaks about the brand, we have a lot left to see.
“Büite is outside,” as it is clearly stated across their site.
Take this episode as your invitation and inspiration to connect with something bigger than all of us. So long as it’s outside.
This is Büite Outdoor for Leggggs.

A Conversational Pace – Living an entire life in a single day with Sydney Hollman

It’s never silent in Sydney Hollman’s head when she’s running.
There’s a song being constructed, a poem being written—or she’s coaching herself through a downhill.
Whatever it is, she’s out there, processing life at her own accord.
“Running is a great way to build self-belief,” states Sydney.
“I’ve never met anyone who has started running, had a goal, met the goal, and then said, ‘Okay – That’s enough. I’m satisfied by that.’ It’s empowering to do things you never thought you’d be able to do.”
Currently living in New Zealand, Sydney finds herself immersed in the trails that are truly certified legendary, and she takes full advantage.
One peep at her Instagram account, and you’ll see why.
“There’s a whole world out there that’s only accessible on your own two feet.”
It’s the best way to see anything. And we’re stoked Sydney is bringing us along for the ride.

Cache Only: The Journey to the Joy of Trail Running feat. Alex King, Terignota

“I want Terginota to feel like a brand you can feel at home with, feel comfortable with, and feel welcomed to.” – Alex King, @Terignota
In a slightly-unassuming Bavarian-styled village in the Cascade Mountains, in central Washington State, dwells an emerging trail-running brand with the mission to make trail running accessible to all.
“When you put on Terignota, I want it to feel like an old friend who is there to support whatever challenge gets put your way.”
Leggggs sat down with Alex to discuss the current state of trail running, why Terignota and their vision/ethos matters, what the sport needs, and where Alex sees it going.
New episode of Cache Only out now.
